Sorry Pretty Little Liars fans, but the rumors are true. The popular teen drama series will officially end its run with Season 7, Deadline reports. The news was announced during a Facebook Live interview with the show's network, Freeform, with creator and showrunner I. Marlene King and various cast members.

Pretty Little Liars will air its summer finale on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 9 p.m., with the remaining 10 episodes of the season set to premiere in April 2017. Right after the two-hour series finale, King's new show Famous in Love starring Bella Thorne will air. That's some great transitional marketing.

King had this to say about the PLL run:

“It’s been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years. We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change. I’m excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes."

The show first aired on June 8, 2010 on ABC Family, and stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell. Ahead of the Pretty Little Liars summer finale this week, get your teen drama fix by watching the Famous in Love trailer below:
