Zayn Malik has mastered the art form of portraying the nonchalant cool guy in videos ("PillowTalk," "Befour," etc.), and his latest effort is for "Cruel." Snakehips, the U.K. electronic duo he collaborated with on the single, doesn't appear in the video. So the brooding focus is all on Zayn.

The visual isn't too remarkable, showing the singer wandering around a hazy nightclub that is illuminated by neon lights. That's pretty much it, leaving plenty of room for Zayn to play up his moody romantic charm for the camera.

"Cruel" follows Snakehips' collaboration with Tinashe and Chance the Rapper on "All My Friends" last November. As for Zayn? He's got a song in the works with M.I.A. for the rapstress' upcoming AIM album.
