Brand New's next album will not come out in 2016, as was previously planned. The band wrote a letter (on a typewriter, for some reason), admitting that the group of songs that they've culled together isn't good enough for release, by their standards.

They also reveal that on their upcoming tour (which was probably supposed to support the delayed album) they'll be playing The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in its entirety for its 10th anniversary. The tour kicks of Oct. 13 with The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball opening.

The band, which may or may not be breaking up, then muttered about "a strange demise," playing up the report that Brand New will disassemble in 2018.
