We first got word of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt's Passengers movie last summer, and now the official trailer has finally arrived. It opens on a spaceship called Starship Avalon, where Aurora Dunn (Lawrence) and Jim Preston (Pratt) realize they are the only two passengers awake in the midst of thousands of others.

Once they realize they've arose 90 years too early, the pair try to save the rest of their population as the spaceship begins to malfunction. Oh, and Dunn and Preston fall in love in the middle of all this action-filled turmoil. The romantic sci-fi movie is helmed by Oscar-nominated director Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) and writer Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange, the upcoming Mummy reboot).

Passengers, which also stars Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Andy Garcia and Aurora Perrineau, travels to theaters on Dec. 21. In the meantime, check out this roundup of the biggest box office record breakers from the last decade.
