Judge Judy Sheindlin’s wild and crazy life is the basis for a scripted drama currently in development for CBS. It will be titled Her Honor, which is not as good of a title as Sheindlin’s 1996 book, Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining.

Variety reports that Michael Chernuchin (Law & Order, Chicago Justice) is writing the pilot, and Sheindlin is billed as a story co-writer. The plot will follow a young female judge who balances a hectic personal life with rising stardom in Family Court.

CBS Television Distribution produces Judge Judy, which began its run in 1996 and will continue through at least 2020. As Variety notes, Sheindlin is currently the most profitable star on TV, with her last contract pulling in roughly $47 million a year.
