Rock is never going to die if this new generation has anything to do with it! A video of three teenagers performing a medley of Metallica songs at a Kansas City, Missouri mall recently went viral simply due to just how impassioned (and talented) the young band is.

The 18-minute jam session is worth the watch (thanks to shopper Catherine Ross who filmed it), with the kids ripping through favorites like “Eye of the Beholder,” “Blackened,” “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “…And Justice for All." Their performance even caught the eye of Metallica themselves, with the band posting the video on their official Facebook page with the comment, “Nice work boys!!!” It now has almost 12 million views.

Metallica is currently gearing up for the release of their next album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, their first project since 2011's Lou Reed collaboration, Lulu, and first Metallica album since 2008's Death Magnetic. Fans can look out for that on Nov. 18.
