Moulin Rouge!, Baz Luhrmann’s beloved 2001 movie musical, at long last looks like it’s coming to Broadway.

According to Deadline, the project is being led by Global Creatures, the company behind the popular spectacle Walking With Dinosaurs — The Arena Spectacular. Alex Timbers, who’s directed Here Lies Love and Rocky: The Musical, is attached, as is writer John Logan (Skyfall, Spectre).

Global Creatures has announced that “developmental work” on Moulin Rouge! is underway, although no theatre or debut date has been named. Deadline notes that Timbers was recently involved with Disney’s stage adaptation of Frozen but has dropped out of the project.

Moulin Rouge! was nominated for Best Picture following its 2001 theatrical run. One of its co-stars, Jim Broadbent, just joined the next season of Game of Thrones.
