Jack White's new double-disc release Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 features a till-now unreleased White Stripes song, "City Lights." And French filmmaker Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dave Chappelle's Block Party) decided to make a video for it.

Watch above as a soothingly shot steamy shower door gets covered in lyrically appropriate doodles, one over another over another. Sincerely hoping this is this person's full-time job.

According to a Third Man Records statement, Gondry sent the video over a few days ago "on his own and without anyone’s knowledge." They call it “a genius surprise gift."

Gondry previously directed videos for Kanye WestDaft PunkBjörkPaul McCartneyRadioheadFoo Fighters and The Rolling Stones. He handled four White Stripes visuals before this: "Fell in Love With a Girl," "The Hardest Button to Button," "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" and "The Denial Twist."
