Saturday Night Live has casted three new players for the NBC comedy sketch show's 42nd season. On Monday, Alex Moffat, Mikey Day and Melissa Villasenor officially signed on.
Day had perviously been a writer for the show but will make his debut as talent when the late-night show premieres on Oct. 1. He previously wrote for Wild 'N Out and the Lorne Michael-produced Maya & Marty. His onboarding was leaked on Friday
Villasenor is known for being a top 16 finalist on the sixth season of America's Got Talent and as a voice actor on Adventure Time.
The new cast additions follow the departures of Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam. The network decided not to renew the comedians' contracts after six seasons each.
