Saturday Night Live continues plunging into its fifth decade with top-of-the-line talent. Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga, in that order, are your next two musical guests for Season 42. Emily Blunt will host Bruno's night (Oct. 15), while Tom Hanks will be there to hopefully do something funny with Gaga on Oct. 22.

Last week's SNL's premiere featured The Weeknd and Margot Robbie; tomorrow it's Twenty One Pilots playing while Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda hosts.

It's the fourth time on SNL for both Mars and Gaga. Bruno first played the show in October 2010. He returned two years later as host and musical guest. Two years after that, in November 2014, he "Uptown Funk"'d it up with Mark Ronson. Lady Gaga made her SNL debut in '09, returning in '11, then again in 2013 as host and guest.

Both artists have plenty to promote, of course. Bruno Mars just returned with "24K Magic" today, and Lady Gaga's rollout for her own comeback, Joanne, is in full swing, led by the tracks "Perfect Illusion" and "Million Reasons."
