After postponing some shows last week due to an ankle injury, Drake has now called off the remainder of his Summer Sixteen Tour in order to focus on recovery.

“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through," his rep told People

"By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors’ orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining three dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”

There is no word on when the dates will be made up, but in order to make it to the European Boy Meets World Tour he just announced on Monday, Drake must recover by January for the 26-date jaunt.

In happier news, Drake just broke the record for the most American Music Awards nominations ever with 13 nods, surpassing Michael Jackson, who had 11 nominations in 1984.
