rumor floated around the Internet in 2013 that Elijah Wood's DJ endeavor was masked by the name DJ Frodo. He denied it at the time, and he's denying it now—this time with a little more context into what his DJ career is like. The star of the new show Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency went on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night and gave up the scoop about his music life.

Sure, you may know him best from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movies as Frodo Baggins, but he's shed that furry-toed persona. When he DJs solo, he's, well, Elijah Wood. And when he's playing with his pal Zach Cowie, they go as Wooden Wisdom.

"I think it was someone said it online, and it spread like wildfire," Wood said about the rumor. "It's so crazy because I would be insane to call myself DJ Frodo."

Meyers and Wood went on to joke about how only people tripping on mushrooms would be into that fake DJ name. Then Wood tells a funny story about he gets rejected from gigs mid-set for all the '70s Turkish dance music he plays on vinyl.
