J.J. Abrams' (the guy behind Star Wars and Star TrekGod Particle movie is confirmed to take place in the Cloverfield universe, TheWrap reports. A close source to them says that Abrams and Paramount Pictures are talking about releasing a Cloverfield film every year.

If the report is true, God Particle will be the third Cloverfield movie, following 2016's 10 Cloverfield Lane.

God Particle is about a team of astronauts who make a shocking discovery, which has them fighting for survival in an altered reality. It's set for a Feb. 24, 2017, released and stars David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki,Daniel Brühl and Chris O’Dowd.

Back in March, Abrams tried to explain what the Cloverfield movies meant to Vanity Fair: “It’s like Cloverfield is the amusement park, and each of these movies is a different ride in that park.”
