Celebrating his own 30th birthday last weekend, Drake dropped four songs, one of which, “Two Birds One Stone,” came straight for Cudi with lines like, "You stay Xann'd and Perc'd up / So when reality set in, you don't gotta face it." The track came a month after Cudi harrangued Drizzy and Kanye on Twitter. Nonetheless, many found Aubrey's timing to be in poor taste, as Cudi is openly seeking treatment for depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations.
And here's where we're at now:
@Drake Say it to face, pussy. You think it's a game. I wanna see you say it to my face. I'll be out soon. Promise.— The Chosen One (@KidCudi) October 28, 2016
The love has been unfathomable. I look forward to hearing, breathing and feeling it all at ComplexCon Nov 5th. Love and back to rehab. - Cud— The Chosen One (@KidCudi) October 28, 2016
Earlier this week, Cudi's manager, Dennis Cummings, tweeted, "Drake corny as fuck. How Aubrey and his writers take a shot with the same hands they used to beg for a feature???" When Drake's tact was called into question on Instagram, he replied to a commenter, "Mans need to stop mentioning my name when they get geeked. Supposed to be all love out here word to my bro Pablo.”
So yeah, expect this to keep dragging on in the very near future. Pusha T might even throw his own murderous bars into the fray, seeing as Drake seemingly took shots at him on the exact same track.
For now, listen as Fuse's Back of the Class podcast questions whether Drake went over the line—or whether he just threw up a brick:
