Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint inside her hotel room in Paris by armed men on Sunday, Oct. 2.

The news first came from CNN news editor Joe Sutton, who revealed on Twitter in a since-deleted tweet that the superstar "was held at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room Sunday by armed men." He added that her representative said she was not harmed. CNN followed up the story with a full statement from Kardashian West's spokesperson Ina Treciokas:

"Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."

Earlier on Oct. 2, Kim's husband Kanye West walked offstage just 45 minutes into his set at New York festival The Meadows citing a "family emergency."
