See Footage of Metallica's Doomed Video Game, 'Damage Inc.'

Is Metallica a lifestyle or just some band you like? If you're a serious member of the Metal Militia, it's the former, and yes, you would have played a Metallica video game. Five years ago, Kotaku highlighted the very rad concept art for the game, developed by Black Rock Studio around 2003 and scrapped before completion.

Now comes extended footage of Damage Inc., courtesy of PtoPOnline, which works to catalog gaming history. The drive-and-shoot project was previewed in a CD that game with 2003's Metallica album St. Anger. Its developers reportedly said they were eyeing games like Twisted Metal Black, Smuggler's Run 2, Grand Theft Auto III and Vigilante 8 as the competition. It would've gone to PS2, Xbox and PC.
