Mindy Kaling Is 'Real Scared' About Her 'Ocean's Eight' Role

In August, news broke that an all-female Ocean Eleven's reboot titled Ocean's Eight would begin filming in October. We've learned that the likes of Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Awkwafina and more signed on to the project that's been kept so mysterious, its leads don't even have details.

Kaling told Stephen Colbert on an Oct. 4 episode of The Late Show that she's worried about her role—specifically because she think she'll be used as a decoy to let the more established stars shine. "Look, I'm real scared, man," she told the host. "I look at that list of people, I know that my skill is going to be I get attacked by the guard dog so they can break into the casino." Is it bad that we're kind of okay with that? Of course, as long as we get tons of Mindy screentime before and after.
