Shakira returns with her fiery new single "Chantaje," which features fellow Colombian artist (and one of our Future Hispanic History Month stars) Maluma. The track, the title of which translates to "Blackmail," marks Shakira's first Spanish-language single since 2014's “La La La."

Maluma opens the Latin and reggaeton-fusion track with his provocative vocal tone, which pairs well with Shakira's romantic timbre. "Yo soy masoquista / Con mi cuerpo un egoísta / Tú eres puro, puro chantaje / Puro, puro chantaje," they sing on the chorus.

"Chantaje" is the first taste from Shakira's forthcoming 11th album, with a video recently being filmed in Barcelona with director Juame De La Iguana. The release will follow her 2014 self-titled album, which featured the reggae-rock "Can't Remember to Forget You," a collaboration with Rihanna. As of now, there is no set date for the record.
