Are you ready for something called a motion poster? Because something called a motion poster is ready for you, and it comes in the shape of War for the Planet of the Apes.

Watch above as the famous Caesar's visage forms in what we're guessing is apocalyptic ash. His advanced capacity for speech lets him eke out a warning: “You must go before the fighting begins. I’m sorry. War has begun.”

If you caught 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, itself a sequel to 2011's reboot Rise of the Planet of the Apes, you know what Caesar's talking about.

We'll learn more about War for the Planet of the Apes after the movie's presentation at New York Comic Con tonight. For now, check out the official synopsis:

"In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet."

War begins July 14, 2017. Several of the motion-capture ape actors will return, including Andy Serkis, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval and Terry Notary, while the new human cast will feature Woody Harrelson and Gabriel Chavarria. Director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) is returning, this time also playing co-writer with Mark Bomback (The Wolverine, Live Free or Die Hard, the Total Recall remake).
