Marvel and Netflix's The Defenders miniseries is already set to be heroic as hell, as it will bring together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist for their own smallish-screen–sized Avengers-y situation. But it just got a little bigger, as Élodie Yung is bringing Elektra back to life.

Netflix announced the French actress' return on Twitter, boasting that "the strong survive" and insisting that "those who surround us, define us" (except when you're on the subway at rush hour, hopefully).

The Daily Dot writes that Matt Murdock's love interest "died at the end of Daredevil's second season, but there was a strong implication she would soon be resurrected by the Hand, a villainous ninja cult."
