There's yet another live-action remake in the works...and this time it isn't coming from Disney! Fullmetal Alchemist, the Japanese manga that was adapted for a cult anime series, is being transformed into a movie courtesy of Warner Bros.

While the teaser trailer only runs for 30 seconds, it's just enough for diehard fans to get a taste of how the Elric brothers' adventures will play out in real life. Directed by Fumihiko Sori, it shows Edward (played by Ryosuke Yamada) using his powers to fight off monsters. The plot follows him and little brother Alphonse Elric as they try to resurrect their mother with alchemy.

Fullmetal Alchemist will premiere in Japan sometime next year. As of now, there is no planned North American release date. The news comes after the announcement that fellow anime series Sailor Moon is set to make its U.S. theater debut with Sailor Moon R: The Movie in January.
