It seems like ever since his dating life eclipsed his musical career, John Mayer has been keeping a low profile. But the singer-songwriter is making his return to the scene with a new single coming next week.

The singer shared the bright and minimal cover art to "Love on the Weekend" along with the date Nov. 17. We don't have any true indication of what the song will sound like, but Mayer did upload a clip of bluesy rock music to his Instagram story with the phrase, "Shhh." Is this the first hint?

"Love on the Weekend" is expected to be the first taste of a new album coming from Mayer. While details on the LP are skim, Entertainment Tonight got the star to reveal his upcoming record will be titled The Search for Everything and Mayer did tell fans that they can expect new music "very, very soon."

The new LP will be John's first since 2013's Paradise Valley, which had a more folk and Americana style than his the pop-leaning records for which he became famous. The last solo song we got from our dude was in 2014 with his cover of Beyoncé's "XO."
