Little Monsters and fans of musician/actor multi-hyphenates already know Golden Globe–winner Lady Gaga is starring in Bradley Cooper's remake of A Star Is Born. She'll fill Judy Garland's steps from the 1954 version (itself a remake) and Barbra Steisand's from the one made in 1976. She's also writing and performing original songs for the flick.

Today, we know exactly when to see and hear it all: Sept. 28, 2018, just a little less than two years from now.

Cooper has played executive producer on a number of his projects, but he'll make his directorial debut with A Star Is Born. It's also his first screenplay credit, alongside four others who have touched the pages during the film's interminable genesis. Long ago and far away, it was set to star Beyoncé and be directed by Clint Eastwood.

Watch an old-school Lady Gaga interview below, then go vote in Fuse's 2016 Top 40 Music Video competition, where Mother Monster's "Perfect Illusion" is currently battling against Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods."
