Many celebs have taken to Twitter and Instagram to grieve as Tuesday's election results yielded Donald Trump as the next President of the United States. Everyone from Katy Perry to Skrillex to Rick Ross weighed in on the race (read their reactions here). Lady Gaga climbed onto a garbage truck to protest the events at Trump Tower in Manhattan.

And Macklemore, who always had a way with words, documented his laments in a lengthy Instagram post, which featured an adorable picture of his sleeping daughter Sloane.

"My daughter had this little blue dress on," he wrote hopefully. "I was ready to pop the Martinelli's and hold her, watching Hilary Clinton become the first female president of the United States of America."

After the unfavorable outcome, the rapper, born Ben Haggerty, wrote about how he plans to teach his daughter to combat that hate that Trump ushers in with his Presidential term:

"I will teach my daughter to love. All people, regardless of the color of their skin, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or where their birth certificate says they're from. I will teach her how important it is to be an advocate for humanity. Not just the portion of humanity that benefits her. I will teach her non violent communication."
