Sorry, Marvel fans: The Inhumans movie won't be happening anymore. But have no fear! The company announced they are planning a TV show based on the comic book series instead. Marvel paired with ABC Studios to create an eight-episode live-action drama, which will premiere in fall 2017.

What makes the deal even cooler is before the network premiere, the first two episodes (shot with IMAX digital cameras) will exclusively play worldwide for two weeks across IMAX theaters. So beginning next September, fans can still get some form of a movie experience. The film was previously set for July 2019 release but was pulled from Marvel's schedule.

Marvel’s The Inhumans, which runs for eight episodes, focuses on "the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family." The superheroes in this family include Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Lockjaw and Maximus the Mad. According to The Hollywood Rerporter, the show isn't a spinoff of Marvel drama Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that featured a storyline about the Inhumans.
