Metallica are some of the hardest rockers ever. But as they are getting ready to release their 10th album, Hardwired... To Self-Destruct (along with putting a video out for each song), they need a break from all that clamor.

That's why they visited The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Taking to tiny toys, Metallica and The Roots busted out a more elementary version of their 1991 classic "Enter Sandman."

Fallon joined in on the fun too, like he had tension he needed to release with some therapeutic hand-banging. Drummer Lars Ulrich looked entirely giddy as The Roots kept their calm composure, playing the part of hilarious irony. Is it still metal when the only metal involved is the cheap aluminum on the glockenspiel?
