After Netflix teased its Barry movie last month, the entertainment company has now released the full trailer for the retelling of a young Barack Obama's life. It comes at a sad time, as our current president will be leaving office soon after eight fruitful years.

Starring rising actor Devon Terrell as the 20-year-old Obama, it follows his journey to New York's Columbia University during his junior year. We see the future political candidate as he gets bullied in school, comes to terms with his biracial background, tries to maintain his relationship with mother Ann Dunham (played by Ashley Judd) and gets interrogated by the police.

The cast of Barry includes Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Ellar Coltrane (Boyhood), Jenna Elfman (Friends With Benefits) and Avi Nash (Silicon Valley). It is directed by Columbia grad Vikram Gandhi, one of the producers of HBO’s Vice.

Look out for its Netflix premiere on Dec. 16. Below, check out Fuse and Voto Latino's coverage of the DNC:
