The members of One Direction have been enjoying success as solo stars since their hiatus, but is the band readying a comeback soon? Member Niall Horan shook up the fandom over the weekend, where he teased the boys could possibly reunite soon. "We will be back. We would be silly not to... ridiculous," the singer reportedly told Sunday People.

While this is exciting news for the Directioners, the reunion probably won't be happening any time soon. Niall is currently prepping the release of his debut album and is promoting his "This Town" single. Liam Payne joined Republic Records last month, while Harry Styles signed with Columbia back in June and has a role in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk movie. Louis Tomlinson is a new dad, and Zayn Malik dove headfirst into the solo world with the Mind of Mine LP, a designer deal with Versace and a revealing autobiography.

In September, Styles also weighed in on the idea. "I would never say we’ll never do anything ever again," the singer told Chelsea Handler in his cover story for Another Man magazine. "It'll be better if it happens naturally."

But judging by the kind-of-awkward yet promising handshake between Malik and Horan at the AMAs, anything is possible. So keep the dream alive, Directioners! In the meantime, go back to happier boy band times with this Fuse clip, where One Direction fans react to This Is Us USA premiere:
