Nintendo

Good news, Nintendo fans! The company has announced the release date and price for their Super Mario Run game in collaboration with Apple. The news was first revealed in September at the tech company's presentation when Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto took the stage.

Super Mario Run will launch on Dec. 15 for free, but in order to unlock the full game you'll have to make an in-app purchase of $9.99 on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The game will be available in 151 countries and 10 languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese.

Based on Nintendo Everything's screenshots (click here to view them), the game comes with three modes: World Tour, Toad Rally and Kingdom Builder. Characters that we grew up with like Princess Peach, Bowser and Toad all make appearances.
