Back in January, Sarah Hyland got fans' hopes up with the possibility of recording some music. "Maybe if I start getting bored?" the proud new guitar-owner told Entertainment Tonight. "I'm not ruling it out!"

Now we've got the real deal: the Modern Family star took on Halsey's part on "Closer," while rockers Boyce Avenue provided everything The Chainsmokers do on the No. 1 single, only very stripped down.

"Dream come true singing with these guys!" Hyland wrote on Twitter. Dreams are coming true for fans who've waited for this moment, as well: Hyland is as capable of a home-run solo performance as she is at harmonizing.

Back in that conversation with ET, the soon-to-be-26-year-old actress said, "I've recorded one song for a friend. It was a gift...I wrote it for her and her husband, but that's the only type of recording that I've ever done other than, like, the Annie soundtrack." (She was in the 1999 movie version.)
