'The Big Bang Theory' Spinoff About a Young Sheldon Is in the Works

If you can believe it, CBS' The Big Bang Theory is still on air! To bank it even more, the network is currently in talks with Warner Bros. TV to create a spinoff. According to Variety, the companies are developing a prequel series that will focus on a young Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons).

Parsons is reportedly executive producing the spinoff alongside Chuck Lorre and “Big Bang” showrunner Steve Molaro, and the series is nailing a script deal about the neurotic genius growing up in Texas. Variety also states the show's co-creator/exec producer Bill Prady will most likely join the project as an exec producer.
