Update (11/23): The Weeknd dropped one more teaser, above, for his Mania film/"visual piece" and promised it will drop today. The panther is still there, this time on a pedestal in the middle of a futuristic room designed by a real geometry buff. Other than that, there's...a lot of blue-lit spaces.

Original story (11/21): The Weeknd's Starboy album rollout has been exemplary, with striking, grade-A art for each of the four songs he's dropped. A masterful video for the title track. An ambitious, unsettling video for "False Alarm." And now, four days before the Canadian singer's third studio record hits, a new promise: "a visual piece" called Mania.

The title is not one of the songs on the Starboy tracklist, which features FutureKendrick LamarDaft Punk and Lana Del Rey. The short teaser dubs it "a film by The Weeknd" and says it'll be directed by Grant Singer, the guy behind "Starboy" as well as Abel's "Tell Your Friends," "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills." Singer has also directed memorable videos for Ariana Grande, Vic Mensa and Travis Scott.

More important than anything we know now or anything we'll know in the future, the black panther that was riding in the zillion-dollar whip with The Weeknd in "Starboy" is BACK for the Mania film! Love that panther.
