We're less than a year away until the remake of Stephen King's It arrives, but the glimpses into Pennywise the Clown keep rolling in. The latest one, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, shows the character at his chilling best.

While the new version of the clown won't induce as many nightmares as the original Pennywise, he still gives off creepy vibes as he lurks in a sewer system underneath the town of Derry, Maine. "Pennywise shows up, he’s front and center, and he does his show. He has an act," director Andrés Muschietti told EW. "So it’s weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat."

The new look at Pennywise follows the photo of his Victorian-inspired costume back in August. The It remake, starring Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård as the frightening clown and Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard as Richard Tozier, will hit theaters on Sept. 8. 2017.
