Get ready Nashville fans, because the show is finally back! CMT released the season five trailer, which opens with Juliette Barnes sassily proclaiming "Let's pick up where we left off" and ends with her panicking as a private plane goes through dangerous turbulence (don't worry, she survives).

The dramatic trailer also shows newlyweds Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) trying to fix their marital issues. There's also lots of bloody fighting and Barnes crying over a pile of prescription pill bottles. According to a press release, season five shows Maddie (Lennon Stella) coming home and Highway 65 struggling financially.

The return of Nashville is all thanks to CMT, who announced its revival for 22 episodes in June. “CMT heard the fans," network president Brian Philips said. "The wave of love and appreciation they have unleashed for ‘Nashville’ has been overwhelming." The series previously aired on ABC and was cancelled in May.

The first hour of the two-hour Nashville premiere will arrive on Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. EST on CMT, with the official return scheduled for Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. EST. Before then, flip through our picks for classic TV shows that are worth rebooting.
