Hamilton Uptown/Atlantic

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator/writer/songwriter/original star of Hamilton, the massive hip-hop historical musical with a brilliantly race-flipped cast, has a new project for us. The Hamilton Mixtape, 23 covers, reinterpretations and inspired-by songs, featuring at least a dozen artists you know by name or fandom—and probably a lot more. The list includes Alicia Keys, Nas, Chance the Rapper, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Sia, John Legend, Usher, Miguel, Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Fallon, Common, Ingrid Michaelson and Ashanti and Ja Rule, together. (Oh: Ben Folds and Regina Spektor together again, too.)

Tarry no further; stream The Hamilton Mixtape now, and/or purchase it here.

Ham stans will be pumped to know—or to remind you Mixtape-welcomed newbies—that a Vol. 2 will hit at some point, giving justice to the not-included-here jams "The Schuyler Sisters," "The Room Where It Happens" and "One Last Time."
