The pending Bad Boys 3 movie has been teased for years, and last night Will Smith continued to toy with our feelings. During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor stated the film “is very, very, very close. It is very close."

"We do one a decade," Smith joked after showing some love to his costar Martin Lawrence. “I love that dude. That’s among the best times I’ve ever had making movies. So I’m looking forward to it.”

Lawrence also gave Kimmel an update on the movie back in October, telling the host they will begin filming in March. "I don't think there's a hold out. It's just a matter of getting the script right and doing it at the right time," he said. Sony previously announced the Bad Boys 3 release date was pushed from Feb. 17, 2017 to June 2, 2017.

Bad Boys 3 will follow the 2003 sequel and the 1995 original, both directed by Michael Bay. In the meantime, Will Smith is promoting his Collateral Beauty film alongside Kate Winslet and Edward Norton. Click here to see the trailer and look out for its premiere on Dec. 16.
