The news of 2NE1's disbandment last November shook the K-pop world and left their famously passionate fanbase devastated. But as a final token of appreciation, the group is releasing one more song as a farewell single.

Korean news reports that 2NE1 will release the new song "Good Bye" on Jan. 21 with members CL, Dara and Bom all participating. It's speculated that original member Minzy—who departed the outfit in April—will not be featured, as the 22-year-old had signed with a new label last year. The reports add that the members flew overseas on Jan. 3 to film the official music video.

After seven years of breaking records both in their native Korea and abroad, 2NE1's "Good Bye" feels like a suitable way for fans to take in the still-fresh news of their split.

Looking ahead, fans can expect solo activities from CL and Dara staying with 2NE1's label YG Entertainment—home to PSYBIGBANG, Blackpink and others. Bom did not renew her contract with the company.
