Janet Jackson has officially given birth to a baby boy today (Jan. 3), PEOPLE confirms. The little bundle of joy is the first child for the icon and husband Wissam Al Mana. "Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," Jackson's rep said in a statement.
"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.” The entertainer first confirmed the pregnancy news in October with a glowing photo of her baby bump. "We thank God for our blessing,” she told PEOPLE. Janet previously announced she planned to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour in order to start a family.
"We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change,” the 50-year-old said in a Twitter announcement. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
