Was Pokémon Go not enough for you? Well, the powers that be have another game ready!
Watch above for the trailer to Pokémon Duel, the beloved franchise's new mobile game that brings a fresh new element to battling your favorite pocket monsters. The big thing to note here is that Pokémon Duel is inspired by board games with players creating teams of six Pokemon to "race" to your opponent's goal. Throughout it, one uses their different creatures to attack their rival and defend their goal.
No, it's not Pokémon Stadium, but there is a lot of classic elements of the original games here like catching them all, evolving creatures, creating a well-balanced team. The game takes awhile to start up (there are a lot of rules), but this should become yet another way for Pokémon fans to get their Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle and Jigglypuff fix.
Pokémon Duel is available now for Apple and Android phones and while it worked perfectly fine for us, expect some downtime as a huge amount of users are likely to download this ASAP.
