Reese Witherspoon has previously talked about wanting a Legally Blonde 3 movie, but now the project could be happening sooner than we think! "I need somebody really clever to come up with a great idea and we'll do it," the actress said in recent interview with E! News. "I do think it's a good time to do it. I think women need that kind of positivity right now."

Witherspoon, who plays the fabulous and smart Elle Woods in the franchise, also commented on how the lives of women will change once Donald Trump enters the presidential office:

"It's a great privilege to be a woman in America. We have many rights and freedoms that a lot of women don't have all over the world. I try to celebrate that. I try to live that to its utmost, particularly the freedom of speech, being able to express myself, create shows like this [HBO's Big Little Lies] to show how important women are in our world. That's what I try to focus on."

But wouldn't be great if Elle Woods could be our president? Well the actress thinks the same. “A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it," Witherspoon said in 2015. "I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”

Last summer, she celebrated the 15th anniversary of Legally Blonde by unpacking some of the film's outfits and even recreated the classic bend and snap move.
