The time has finally come, folks: Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled the release date and console details of the anticipated Tekken 7 video game. The ninth installment in one of the most popular fighting game series off all time comes after 2011's Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Tekken 7 will be available on on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2, WWG reports. If that wasn't enough, there is also a new trailer dramatically titled "Rage and Sorrow" that previews the new game. The intense plot dives into the emotional feud between Heihachi Mishima, his son Kazuya Mishima and grandson Jin Kazama.

Project leader Katsuhiro Harada explained Tekken 7's delay, which was supposed to be released in early 2017, at a press event in Tokyo last week. "We saw some titles—some from our own company and some from others—which didn't have a very good launch because of a lack of content, or whatever it was, that caused players to bash the product," he said.
