Queen Elizabeth II is about to have some American royals as company soon, as Michael C. Hall is cast to play John F. Kennedy in Netflix's The Crown for Season 2. Variety reports that Jodi Balfour (Quarry) will join the Dexter star as Jackie Kennedy.

But the former president doesn't sound as pleasant as we remember him. Hall's portrayal of JFK is described as "a natural leader and excellent public speaker who does not take kindly to being upstaged by anyone, especially his wife." He also seeks revenge by showing off his infidelities (who will play Marilyn Monroe?). As for Balfour's Jackie O? She is a "seemingly natural First Lady, but whose charming exterior of confidence and glamour hides a shy woman who loathes public life."

The first season of The Crown was loved by critics, with Claire Foy winning a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her portrayal as Queen Elizabeth II. The show also picked up a Satellite Award and Golden Globe for Best Drama Series. Season 2 is currently in production and begins with soldiers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fighting an illegal war in Egypt. It will end with the downfall of the Queen's third Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan, after a huge scandal.
