'Samurai Jack' Season 5 Trailer Shows a Grim New World: Watch

Samurai Jack is back and darker than ever! Toonami released the first full-length trailer for the fifth and final season of the iconic animated show, which gives fans a glimpse to how much the beloved character's world has changed. Set 50 years after season four (it first aired in 2003), the clip shows a bearded Jack living alone in a grim dystopian future.

Aku has closed all the portals that hinders the samurai from returning to his proper time, but he doesn't let the suffering overcome him. Instead, Jack finds the strength to battle the new team of enemies that work for the demonic Aku. Samurai Jack premiered in 2001 on Cartoon Network and was a bit tamer. But now that the show will air on Adult Swim, it has a free reign to get even more intense.
