There's been an awakening; have you felt it? It's the Star Wars content industrial complex, revving back up to light speed even with Episode VIII: The Last Jedi 10 months away. Yesterday's investigations into an empty toy box featuring Rey rocking a new hairstyle were kind of a reach, but today we've got something significant: The riddle to the title may be solved.
So no, Luke Skywalker will probably not be the last of an elegant order from a more civilized age, nor, necessarily, will Rey. And by the way, if Anakin Skywalker does show up as a Force ghost, as predicted by this terrific theory, he might even convert Kylo Ren back to regular Jedi status, minus all the emo Sith-iness.
2019's Episode IX, which will come from Jurassic World/Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow, does not yet have a title, although there's a good viral suggestion:
