Here's some exciting Stranger Things news to brighten your day! Ross and Matt Duffer, the show's creators, revealed that they plan for the Netflix fan favorite to stick around for four or five seasons. But of course, that may vary depending on what route the series takes along the way.

“Everything changes as we move forward so we’ll see,” Ross Duffer told Entertainment Weekly. Matt added, "I want it to have a really finite ending. I don’t want it to be one of those shows that runs out of gas and they lose it because they’re losing interest. You wanna end when you’re on top.”

“Hopefully you’ll come to the end of Season 2 and feel fully satisfied and want more but you’ll feel like it has come to a conclusion,” Ross continued. “But also we’ve laid the ground work for further seasons.” We still have to wait until Halloween (UGH!) for the new season's Netflix premiere, but at least there's hope for a long future with the show.

Netflix also shared new stills from the upcoming season, which shows Byers' return home and his mother Joyce looking very concerned.
