Lecrae is thankful for all the "Blessings" in life in his new video for the single. Featuring Ty Dolla $ign on the hook, the Texas rapper reflects on his upbringing as he spits about his family struggles as a kid that keeps him humble to this day.

While Lecrae is a Houston native, the "Blessings" video was shot by Calmatic in Los Angeles. He explained its concept to HipHopDX,

“For ‘Blessings’ we wanted to do a video that just kind of focused on everyday things we take for granted, family, gatherings, good food, good people, just God being the source of the simple things. Just a fun time, a good time, enjoying family, enjoying friends, enjoying people. It’s like going to Big Mama’s house and when you just got that feeling of nostalgia.”

Lecrae firmly believes that faith and hip-hop can successfully coexist within music. "It draws people from both sides to this middle lane where they realize it's not exclusive to either culture," he told us earlier this month. "Blessings" is the latest taste off the rapper's forthcoming eighth album, the follow-up to 2014's GRAMMY-winning Anamoly.
