Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas You" has been a holiday staple for decades, so it was only a matter of time until it got the Hollywood treatment. The star's signature tune will now be the foundation of an upcoming animated movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal has picked up the project and is looking to premiere it this holiday season. Carey announced the news today, tweeting in reference to her popular song: “I don’t want a lot for Christmas. There’s just one thing I need.” As of now, there are no details on which actors will be cast in the film or who is set to direct.

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" was first released in 1994 and is one of Carey's best-selling singles of all time. She recorded new versions of the track in 2010 and 2011, with the latter one featuring Justin Bieber. It was previously turned into a children's book in 2015.
