Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 brings the heat for the film's latest trailer, which premiered last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. While the clip previews new footage of the superhero crew, it also finally gives fans of glimpse of Kurt Russell's cosmic character.

You have to stick around to the very end to see the legendary actor, who plays Ego the Living Planet, in action. “After all these years, I’ve found you,” he tells Star-Lord/Peter Quill (played by Chris Pratt) before revealing that he's Quill's father. The trailer also has more scenes of Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) in all his adorable glory and the Guardians bonding as a family. It follows a TV spot that aired during the Super Bowl last month.

Along with Russell, Pratt and Diesel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan. Look out for the movie, from returning writer/director James Gunn, when it premieres on May 5, 2017.
