A weird thing occurred last night on Late Late Show with James Corden. Evidently there was once a movie called Mannequin (sorry, Mannequin-heads?) and Victoria Beckham agreed to remake it with her fellow Briton. Despite the odd plot being about a man who falls in love with a department store mannequin who only speaks and moves for him.

Then, 'cause things couldn't get any weirder so why not, Corden and Posh Spice did a spot of Spice Girls Carpool Karaoke. It kicks off at the 1:15 mark above; go spice up your life.

Actually, things sure can get weirder, because English tabloid The Sun actually ran a story titled "Victoria Beckham and Mel B Are AT WAR After Posh Belts Out Spice Girls Hits on Carpool Karaoke." Take it to the anonymous source quote:

“Mel is livid Victoria is all of a sudden embracing her Spice Girls past after years of trying to distance herself from the band. She was desperate for the girls to go on a very lucrative reunion tour to celebrate their music with millions of fans. But once Posh pulled out, the idea began to crumble leaving the members of the band who were keen to perform having no choice but to ditch it. Mel feels it’s unfair Victoria is now using their music to boost her own profile.”

Guess how many seconds Posh was singing in the Carpool Karaoke snippet? Eighteen. Eighteen seconds.

When 2016 marked the Spice Girls' 20th anniversary, Beckham turned down a reunion. Her rep said she "has been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past, however her focus is now very much her family and fashion business."

Previously Mel B said "it would be rude not to celebrate, so hopefully something will be happening pretty soon." In November, she, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell reunited as the splinter trio Spice Girls – GEM.
