Halsey's new era for upcoming sophomore album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom officially begins today with the release of new single "Now or Never" and its accompanying video.

Take a listen to the dark and moody new track above that sees the singer offering a lover an ultimatum to love her "now or never." The fluctuating vocals and overall vibe recall Rihanna's "Needed Me" complete with a catchy chorus to boot. Its visual keeps the dark vibes going with a dangerous love story that sees Halsey falling for a secret lover, getting her romantic future from a creepy tarot card reader, watching her gang of friends getting killed in a violent shootout before Halsey speeds away in a motorcycle leaving said lover behind. There seems to be hints to a Part 2 already with the video ending with Halsey chopping off her turquoise-blue locks. Watch above.

"Now or Never" is the first taste of Hopeless Fountain Kingdom that drops on June 2. The LP is up for pre-order now and will have 13 tracks and 16 songs on its deluxe version.

While we wait for more Halsey, watch Brendon Urie talk about collaborating with the singer at Coachella 2016:
